Who is AFRA ?
AFRA is an official organisation of removalist experts that helps to regulate standards and behaviour in the industry. AFRA is the body who federal and state governments will consult prior to making any decisions about regulating the removals industry.
Who will AFRA accredit ?
AFRA accredits only those furniture removalists that have the necessary equipment, vehicles, premises and staff training needed to complete a professional move.
AFRA conduct training sessions that ensure excellent standards of service and safe work practices.
Members are subjected to a comprehensive audit process on a regular basis. Continued compliance with the code of conduct is a mandatory condition of membership.
All members carry public liability insurance are authorised to arrange Transit Insurance Policies for clients to cover goods and personal effects against loss or damage during a move.
There are about 350 removalist companies around Australia, ranging in size from small one truck owner operated businesses up to large national companies.
